We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, publicly supported organization. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
In order to fulfill its mission, Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity maintains databases that are compiled exclusively of information knowingly and voluntarily provided to Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity by our donors and Web site visitors. Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity respects the privacy of all donors and Web site visitors. If you do not wish share your name and contact information with the charity or charities you supported through Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity or you choose to make your donation anonymously, Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity will not share your name or contact information. Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity provides a field to include an optional dedication with the donation. Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity reserves the right in its sole discretion to remove text from this field before it is provided to the designated charity, for example, if Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity deems it inappropriate, offensive or misrepresentative.
Please note, Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity receives Memorial and Special Occasion donations both on-line and through the mail. Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity may list the name, city and state of the donor and the occasion in our print Newsletter, unless the donor requests otherwise. This is a well-established policy adopted by most charitable organizations. However, donor amounts and specific addresses are never disclosed. Donors who want the amount of their donation publicly disclosed may request the same from Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity.
We must disclose pertinent credit card information to appropriate banking institutions for those persons using credit cards to make donations to Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity. However, credit card information collected by Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity is used strictly for billing purposes.

Though Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity makes every effort to preserve donor and customer privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our organization.
