After training at West Kentucky Vocational Tech to become a Ward Clerk, Rose found out that the two hospitals in Paducah, Kentucky were not able to use her skills. So she packed her daughter and herself up and relocated to Nashville. But finding affordable housing was a big problem. The apartment where they lived had plumbing problems and others were way too expensive. In 2019, Rose was hired by the VA hospital in Murfreesboro. “I simply called, told them what I could do, and they offered me the job,” she said smiling. “I was excited to move to a new town and start a new job.” We are so proud of Rose and her perseverance!
